Financials

  • Reviewed, great Report and Information. We are on track. Solid progress is being made. (See Attachment 1 & 2)

Paying your own bar bill vs winning team paying and lunch for Masters and Grand

Masters

  • To reflect the current times, a decision to move away from the tradition of the winning player to buy the losing player a drink is to be suspended at BCBC as soon as possible. We will assess it prior to the next season. Motion by Ed, seconded by Anna. Passed by all.

Dehumidifier status

  • Installation of the unit will be either the week of December 12 or 19, a one day process.

  • Operational for the second draw.

  • We will need to review with Curl On regarding the actual updated costs vs the original budget.

  • We may adjust downward the actual amount we borrow. Per the suggestion of the Board in attendance, Ed & Joan to review the actual amount we will borrow based on the revised expected costs.

Trillium grant

  • Grant was declined. Their decision to decline our submission was based on our process.

  • Difficult to both agree and challenge their view. Board to review how best to move forward the next time including benchmarking other local centres. Only 1 in 20 receive a grant.

  • Will investigate other grants including Fed Nor.

Practice First Update

  • Program is back on track, Dianne to be the Board to be the contact with our two BCBC members who lead the program, Alan and Michael.

Draw 2 registration

  • Time to send out our Draw 2 communication. Target on the group who only signed up for the 1st draw, Jitney, Practice First as well as all potential new members. Cost for second draft to be $250.00, same as the cost for the 1st only draw. This solution assists the website, the entire administration process and fairness to those who paid for the Full Year and paid $250.00 for the 1st or second draw. We will look to market Curling at Baysville Curling in various avenues, outdoor signage, Facebook groups, etc. Cut off date to sign up December 31.
